Our supplied 50-amp cord is just shy of 30 feet. Located in the middle of the trailer I expect that it will reach most any power pole we encounter. I am, however, planning to pick up a 15-foot 50-amp extension cord at some time over the summer as I expect we'll run into a situation down the road where the supplied cord will not be enough.

I also really like the idea of getting a 90-deg adapter for plugging into the side of the RV. Just one more thing to add to the Amazon wish list...

Actually, that 12/3 cord can not be rated 30 amps, and at most 20 amps, but due to it's length, and the 15 amp connectors, it is only a 15 amp cord. This would only be OK for keeping batteries charged and a few small appliances, and never running an A/C or probably even a microwave. Need to upgrade to a true 30 amp RV cord. Not worth damaging the trailer electrical or possibly even the entire trailer.
