What type of roof?

So in my thread about washing and waxing, some questions came up about what to use on the roof.

So I inquired in the owners manual about what type of my 2300bh has. The manual talks about a rubber roof and lists dicor.com, but it also talks about a Alpha Superflex TPO roof and lists alphasystemsinc.com.

So which is it or how can you tell? My roof is white as I am guessing most of them are, but other than that, I have no idea.

I would have guessed EPDM, but now I'm not so sure. This video says to find a spot to examine the underside of the material:

Thanks for the video. While I agree those are good methods, I probably won't be messing with either of them anytime soon.

I know I could just call the dealer but frankly I don't trust them to do anything other than say "oh ya it's epdm".

I'll ask around at work maybe. We make products with tpo and epdm layers so maybe some of the guys involved with that will have an easier method.

I did read somewhere that when wet, epdm is very slick and tpo isn't. Maybe I can get some samples of both and experiment. For now I'll just be very careful if I wash it, hopefully a rinse down will do it for now because the last time I looked it wasn't too bad, just a little dirty from being outside. It's yet to see a campsite lol.

I use Dicor rubber roof cleaner and Dicor rubber roof protectant. Both products are safe for all RV roofs.
