I used those in my scare light aswell. I think I was able to fit five panels in the housing. It's good and bright now

So how many of these do you need to get to replace the scare light bulb?

Do the math. Each 5050 chip is about 15 lumen. An 1156 incandescent is 402 lumen.

The one panel is more than enough to replace an 1156

Yes 1 panel would be plenty I rarely use this light anyway and just decided to fit as many in as I could :-)

HELP! I would like to buy these, but how do you find that seller? I see no way to search on a seller on ebay.

Try searching E-Bay using

The term "48 smd panel led"
You will get several vendors with all kinds of selling options.
Buy 1, 5 or 10 depending on your needs.
or use the following link
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...at=0&_from=R40
I used these to replace all interior ceiling lights.

I bought some LED lights from the same guy. The price was great and he was a pleasure to deal with but some of the lights have proven to be defective. After using them on one 10 day camping trip 1/4th of one panel is dark and 80% of another is not brightly lit. Those 2 lights were the ones we used the most. I am wondering just how long lasting they will prove to be. I still love the power savings because we use them boondocking.
