Rear interior speaker not working

Hello,

We have an irv2 sound system in our TT. The speaker options are A, B, C

I think A is for the interior front speaker, I think C is for the exterior. Both of these work fine, but I can not get the interior rear speaker to work. I assume that is what the B button is for, but when I press it I get no sound.

I am thinking this is a defect. I appreciate your help.

In our 31BHPR, A is for the "kitchen" speakers and C is for the outdoor speakers. I thought in models that we had viewed, there were a pair of speakers over the queen bed. But looking @ pics I have taken / downloaded I'm not seeing them now and we don't have any in our unit.

Do you have speakers in the rear bunk area? I'll check ours when we get back there later this afternoon, but I don't recall seeing any there.

Maybe the B speakers were a casualty of cost cutting measures.

It is amazing how none of this is standard. If it helps A is over the kitchen, B is in the living area and C is outside on mine. There has been some discussion about the "balance and fader controls" have you played with them?

AlbertaRvMan,

If your RV is wired with three sets of speakers, they are probably wired like this:

A = Inside front AND rear speakers

B = Not used

C = Outside speakers

To control the volume of your speakers, turn up the volume knob (obvious)
To control the balance, use your LEFT/RIGHT balance
To control the Volume of the FRONT/REAR, use your FADE control. It's wired like the speakers in your car. Balance is L/R and Fade is F/R.

Hope this helps.

Thanks all!

Yes my issue was due to the balance being set all the way to the left (kitchen speaker). After adjusting now the living room (rear as I was referring to it) is also working.

A - does control the kitchen/ living room
B - appears to do nothing
C - does control outside.

Happycamper, I don't see any speakers in the bunk house, sorry for the confusion.

Alberta... looking back at your OP, you said speaker (singular). Do you have one speaker near your kitchen sink / couch and one speaker near the fridge / pantry / dinette? Still the same problem as JRTJH describes, but it's a pair of speakers not two pair (L/R Front and L/R Rear).

Hi,
I have one speaker near the kitchen (just outside master bedroom) on the slide out side.
I have a second speaker by the dining table/ closet on the slide side. These both run off the A setting on the stereo.

Johns advice helped me, it was the balance. All is great now

My unit has the 2 speakers in the main cabin on A, the outside speakers are C and the B wires are connected to nothing. I wish there were speakers in the bedroom but there are not. Thought about adding them because to play a movie in the bedroom, you need to use the speakers in the main area. To hear you had to up the volume and my son hated the noise in the back. Instead of adding speakers to B we bought a DVD player and use the tv speakers instead go the built in DVD player.
