Fuse Panel Door Issue

We are just getting our new Hideout ready for it's first camping trip.

One little thing I am trying to fix is the fuse panel door, the small 'clicker' latch a the top center appears to be broken, it doesn't latch and the fuse panel ends up falling open.

(right in the top center of the panel is the little clicker-latch;

When we bought it the PO had a strip of electrical tape holding it closed, I hope that I can find the part, or at least hear of someone who has had this issue as well.

My very last resort will be a small trim screw into the crack in the top corner of the door...

If you check most RV dealerships you'd probably locate another door that you could get the latch from. They change out converters on a regular basis and often the old one just goes in the garbage. If they don't have one right now, they should be able to get you one in a couple of weeks. That would probably be your cheapest and least frustrating. Trying to find something like that on the internet is not an easy task.

A piece of self adhesive Velcro just use the fuzzy side! Cut it about 3 inches long. Fold the first inch over on its self to make a pull tap. The inch you have left stick it to the lip of the cover. That should provide enough pressure to keep it closed and pull the tab to open it.

Call WFCO tech service and tell them that it's broken. They will send you a couple in the mail. The front panel comes off with two screws and the latch is easy to replace..

Thanks guys,

John at WFCO tech support sent me over 2 new clickers, one worked like a charm and the other went into my 'spares' toolbox.

I wish other companies had such great tech support.

Fuse door

I looked at that latch and knew one day it would be trouble! But thanks to this Blog center I know how I'm going to fix mine which is still working right now! I'm not going to waist time getting another one just like I have now! VELCRO is the answer, THANKS, I'm doing mine this afternoon!
