So you think you're having a bad day?

This happened on Hwy 50 in Coaldale, CO a couple of days ago. Drove off the road and into the Arkansas River.

I don't think that will buff out. If that's where it ended up I wouldn't want to have been the driver.

No, not my rig. Thankfully no reports of driver being seriously injured. Lifted the FW out with a crane. Truck came out sooner due to start of fuel leak.

Guess the air bags on that 1/2 ton didn't work out like planned.......

In all seriousness thankfully no one was hurt; I certainly wouldn't want to be in that situation.

That is a stretch of highway you need to pay attention to. I have towed TTs and 5th wheels on that stretch a few times.

Definitely, if this is where I think it is the speed limit goes from 55 to 30 mph for a series of S turns. If you’re not paying attention you can end up off the road.

Those Momentum 5th wheels are heavy, one that I would tow only with a dually.

Yup. Or a 3/4 ton the dealer promised could handle that much trailer.

Hmmm.

It's unfortunate it landed on its side. That looks like a nice spot to stay for a while and do some fishing.

At least the Arkansas was not running full like it does in the Spring! That area used to be pretty good for fishing, lots of rainbow and German brown trout. Suckers are also there but we never kept them; my dad considered them as "trash fish".

Good example of why a person wants a big truck equipped to handle a large trailer. Most trucks will tow the trailer, but the problem comes in when you need to slow down or stop.

On the plus side, the awning is in great shape.

Dang! I use that. Our awning started falling apart over the weekend. Can't complain I guess, it is 8 years old.
