Hey there, i would say that if you cannot change them by yourself, find a service to do that for you, i personally wouldn't wanna break something in there hehehe, and regarding the light, there are different types of light bulbs, with different "temperature", warmer/colder white light, it;s always written on the bulbs package.

I swapped out the on/off switch on the couch slide out lights with this dimmer from Amazon. Works well and was a pretty easy install.

This is what I installed on my LED Strips. I installed one on my outdoor awning strip, and one for each of my slide-out soffit strips.

It is very difficult to remove the light bulb. You can either buy the controller or replace all the lights. Sorry for not being able to help you much.

If there is no bulb to replace,
How about spray painting the inside of cover with some glass etching spray? Or frosting spray, cover with frosting film....
