6-volt AGM batteries

With all the hype everywhere about Lithium batteries, the cost and extras needed like a new converter, have me back to 6-volt AGM Deep Cycles. The wife and I do 75%-90% dry camping and need long-lasting power, and these seem to be the best. We've been semi-happy with the brands we've had and want to know your opinions. V-Max looks the best in my search, but maybe you've used something better. Suggestions?

I have the 6 volt standard GC batteries so I can't help with your what brand question. I hope you will help me understand one question.
Other than the maintenance free part i.e. not adding water, what are the top benefits of AGM over standard 6 volt batteries for the trailer??
I have AGMs in the Truck and car and am happy with those.
Thanks!

6-volt batteries

Thanks Canonman,

I'm not sure I have noticed any advantage other than the low/no maintenance and the fact that AGM batteries can even be loaded sideways if you want. I like the fact that they hold a charge longer than 12-volt and can be discharged to 50% without fear. That's all I know. Glad to hear how satisfied you are with yours in your truck and car.

I love your "chat group in your head."

Thanks Paps,
For the price difference I'm pretty happy with the standard Golf Cart batteries. No issues with keeping them topped off with water. Since my needs only require two batteries, the standard mounting in our Cougar works just fine. Solar charging during the day seems to keep us charged up for the evening plus we have the generator if needed.
AGM is a great way to go, just a bit $pendy for our RV usage.
Appreciate your response. Glad you enjoy getting out and "roughing it" as much as we do.
