IMHO, the hydraulic levelers don't really need additional stabilizing since they are installed with a slight outward cant to them which automatically creates stabilization. However, the electric system (which is what we have) goes straight down and they do allow for extra movement in the rig. We have the JT Strongarms. They do a pretty good job of reducing movement. There is always some movement and how much you want to live with is subjective. These work for us.
On the tripod...don't bother. They are large and cumbersome and require that you store it somewhere. With the Strongarms, or any other similar product, the tripod will be of no real use.

Our previous 5er was like Chuckster's, without auto level, and we found that the tripod and xchocks worked for us as well. But now it's just the Strongarms.
