Replace dinette floor
Happy Thursday everyone! I own a 2017 3791RD which I bought brand new in October of 2016. I live in it full time and I absolutely love it AND have had zero problems. Just the other day I noticed a soft spot in the floor of the dinette slide out. I removed the table and the carpet and vapor barrier to find some rot. I plan on doing this repair myself and so was wondering before I take it apart, does anyone know the dimensions including the thickness of the floor board? I would like to have it cut at the store to save me a step. Thanks In advance

Are you going to remove the slide to do the repair?
The floor will be the Dimensions of the slide, because the walls sit on top of it and it attached from the bottom.

Do you know that replacing the floor will require removing the slideout from the trailer?

No, I do not plan on removing the slide. As for the dimensions. I can get the width from underneath. But the depth of you will is partially hidden beneath the wall. I was thinking for thickness I can bore a core sample.

I watched some videos that show how to support the slide without removing it. What are your thoughts on this?

Before repairing the floor, I would search for the source of the rot and mitigate the issue first. Then tackle the floor.

If you spend all summer replacing the floor, winterize the trailer and put it in storage until spring, you'll likely find a "repeat performance" next spring. I'd locate the source of the leak, repair that, then, once the leak is fixed and the floor dries, you may find that using a composite floor product, you can repair the existing floor with fiberglass/epoxy type products rather than replace the wood....
But, the first step "should be" to find and stop the water leak, then evaluate the process once things are dry.
