AC fan hitting something

Hearing a ting ting ting, as if the fan is grazing the housing. Seems odd, but I guess travel could have caused singing to shift.

Is it easy to see how to remove the cover for access to the issue?

You can remove the ceiling grill to get a better view of the circulation fan. Condenser fan will require a trip on the roof and removing the cover. Metal ting has me thinking condenser fan blade.

Several yeas ago, the squirrel cage fan on our front Dometic A/C started making a lot of noise. Got up on the roof, pulled the shroud off and couldn't see anything rubbing. Had my wife turn it on while up there and found the plastic fan had broken, allowing the fan to expand in diameter as it spun. I was able to use a small zip tie to make a temporary repair until a replacement fan arrived.

Does the noise seem to be as rapid as the fan speed? I've seen 2 things that have caused a slow "ting" noise. One is water. If the drain pan is clogged or partially obstructed drain. Water built up until the fan struck it and dispersed it then it would hit it again a second or so later. I've also seen where a a wire loom that was wound with tape had the tape come loose and would deflect then fall back and get struck again. I'm sure there are many other possibilities but I've personally seen these 2.
