Had a very nice camping trip to Grayland State Beach.
Second time back.
This time we opted for the full hook up, as opposed to water and electric only, it's a little bit further away from the beach, but not much.
Very easy to back into the spots, very well designed.
It's summer and kids were out, but that was ok, just need to be careful driving around them they dart out of nowhere.
Ate a lot of fresh fish, oysters, and shrimp....
Sunny and not too hot, the beach was great, driving on the sand is easy in an AWD or 4X.
Traffic was pretty light, again....
I think folks are just staying put because of cost, I saw lots of gas, no issues with shortages, and it can differ by a buck per gallon, anywhere from 4.25 to 5.75 for gas, diesel ran about 1 buck more than that.
The ferry home had a 2 hour plus wait today, so I drove and extra 100 miles up to the only bridge to the island, and of course I live at the other end of the island.
Avoided "t-boning" a car that I saw was going to pull out in front of me....
I learned years ago to watch the "front wheel" of a car, NOT....the person, when riding my motorcycle.
I was already on my brake, and keeping in all in control, when they decided to just mosey out, like I wasn't even there...
I was going down a slight grade, and into a turn as well.
If I hadn't already slowed by about 15MPH I would smacked her right on her driver-side door.
Be careful out there gang, some real idiots, they have no idea what it takes to stop a trailer.
Home for about 4 weeks, my son and granddaughter are flying up from southern California to go fishing and crabbing on our boat, then we are off to a lake in the Cascades, up toward the Canadian border for a week.
Trailer pulled great, truck ran great.
Life is good
