Never lose hope, we always have a choice....

Tho Yellowstone proved to be a bust, it afforded other opportunities I would have missed, otherwise.

I'll post up more if you all are interested, I still have lots to share/offer

Many interesting sites to see, rich in history and wonder.

I marvel at the old homesteads and buildings, wondering how folks could live without all the comforts and technology we take for granted?

Quake Lake, where 29 lives were lost one August night in 1959, while camping alongside the Madison River on vacation.

A 7 plus earthquake made the side of the canyon wall give way, in a matter of seconds, life changed for many, when only hours prior, they set around a campfire cooking the rainbow trout they caught from the river that day...

Railroad cars, left to wither away, their use no longer needed, sad.

Waterfall's.....the power of nature as untamable as ever by mankind...

You guys wanna see what I have?

Very nice photos!
I'd love to see more, perhaps with a description of where they were taken.

No problem

I will give further explanations as I list more pictures.

The rails are in Virgina City, Idaho.

The rainbow and bridge is in Idaho as well, over the Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls.

I have pictures of Shoshone Falls I will get to and share, beautiful.

If you recall Evil Knievel tried to "jump" the canyon years ago, just west (the other side of this view) of the bridge.

If you have the, er.... sack, they allow base jumping off this bridge too, OH MY

Little did we know these thunderheads/clouds, were moving on to Yellowstone, this was one day out for us still from the park, to join in on the havoc....

It was crazy beautiful to see this weather, from brilliant sunrays to hail and torrential downpours and gale force winds.....then calm.

Looks awesome! Over the years, we found the most exciting adventures purely by accident. Sometimes because we took a wrong turn, sometimes because plans changed at the last minute. Regardless, we go with the flow and feel so much richer because of the wonders (and sometimes adversity) we have experienced.

I agree.

It reminds me of what my dad use to say.....
If it doesn't kill you, it'll make you a stronger, better person for adversity teaches us about ourselves.

Not to go too far off topic, but as a nation, I think we want it given to us, as we have been taught we deserve it....

President John F. Kennedy said, "We stand today on the edge of a new frontier....but the new frontier of which I speak is not a set of promises - it is a set of challenges. It sums up not what I intend to offer the American people, but what I intend to ask of them......."

I am so proud of my kids, they made up their minds to enjoy what we had, and we did.....
Not what we were expecting to be given.

Enjoy what you have, not what you expect to be given. What a great phrase. I will remember it and use it. Thank you.
