2021 Keystone Fuzion 379
Running Goodyear Endurance ST255/85R16s

Tires 14 months old. Tires had about 2500 miles on them when we departed on a month long adventure which added 5000 miles to the tires.

Just 60 miles from home, right rear axle tire blew. Checking all tires at the time, noticed the left rear axle tire worn extensively on the inside.

Yes getting axle checked and aligned.

The garage was empty (no toy was hauled) on the 5000 mile trip.

Question are these:

GY Endurance really only 7500 (read 5000-12000 miles)

Thoughts on Sailun 637T 235/85R16 G rated tires?

1st pic - shredded tire in bed of truck

Looking at your 2nd picture, I believe you have some kind of alignment issue.
That tire is worn completely to the cords on the inside, but worn very little on the outside.
Something isn't right, and it isn't a tire brand issue.

Thanks. Agreed on the alignment that's why i am getting the axle checked and getting the rig aligned.

I was curious as to thoughts on Endurance vs Sailun G rated tires.

Any issues with not having the rig loaded down with a toy vs hauling a toy. (Wouldn't think that would be an issue. )

People who have run Sailuns, are they happy? Like them better? Just not thrilled with where they are manufactured

The GY Endurance ST tires only have one size that will provide the load capacity you are looking for and they are three inches taller than the Sailuns and probably your OE tires.

Remember, replacement tires MUST provide a load capacity equal to or greater than what the OE tires provided.

The original tires that come on Keystone Fuzions are Goodyear Endurance ST255/85R16 .

Not sure where you get or why you think Goodyear Endurance is only one size.

Read more closely. I didn't say the Endurance only comes in one size.

The Sailuns are 3" shorted than the GY making them a smaller tire which is not recommended.

I checked 2 sources and both listed the Goodyear as 33.1 inches in diameter. Both also listed the Sailun's as 31.7 inches in diameter. With a difference of 1.4 inches in diameter equaling a .7 inch radius difference, in a 'on the ground, full weight' situation this will give you an actual .5 inch difference less total height of your unit.
I have run Endurance on our little Salem, and went with Sailun on the Raptor after the original bombs let loose. We had absolutely no trouble with the Sailun's. That's where my money would go again.

actuay it works out to 1.3" for total diamiter, so the trailer will sit almost 3/4" lower which may be bad or may not. there are different sizes of sailuns also he could explore.

We had a '15 371 Fuzion that came with 235x85x16 Sailun 637's...when I saw Made In China thought they were junk tires. Wrong! Still on the Fuzion when I traded it in. G rated 14 ply and heavy sidewalls...ran 105 to 110 max.

Yep, the term "China Bomb" is a misnomer. A person needs to know WHICH tires made in China are actually bombs and why.

Maybe you're misunderstanding what is smaller or larger. The designated size of the ST255/85R16 is smaller than the designated size ST235/85R16. The industry standard for replacement tires states that replacement tires cannot be smaller than the OE tires, and the replacement tires must provide a load capacity equal to or greater than what the OE tires provided at the recommended cold inflation PSI.

Because there is more than one manufacturer building the ST255/85R16 there isn't much justification to ask for another size.

Yup that was the info i have as well GY E has a 33.1 duameter where as the Sailun has 31.7.

I will chime in on the Sailuns, I've had no issues in the 2 years 3 mos. I've been running them.

I know your aware of an alignment issue, that said my used 19 373 i purchased had a shackle flipped down causing almost the same wear

I checked the camber by placing a 4 foot level flush on the upper portion of the right front tire and seeing if it butted up flush with the back tire.

Found there was 1/4 gap.

Checked the bottom and it was the same 1/4 inch gap. (So no negative camber)

Then i did the same on the left side. Found the left rear tires stuck out 1/4 of an inch. (As if everyrhing is shifted towards the driver's side by 1/4 of an inch)

Also found when measuring front of hub to front of hub rhere is a 1/4 inch difference.

I have used 235/85/16 sailun well over 6 years with 1000s of miles. I changed to the 80s because of to the wheel well clearance. The 85s have 4460 load range and better tire , the 235/80/16 have a load range of 4040 lbs the 80.s have more bounce, turn faster with a rougher pull then the 235/85/16. The sailun went to Vietnam last year they had a massive recall that I got into. I ordered my tires from Amazon, the make date was within the recall Amazon notified me through email several times before I replace them at no charge .

Our rig originally came with the notorious Goodyear Marathons, which were no where strong enough, so upgraded to the optional tire that came on our rig, the Goodyear G614, an excellent tire but very pricey. Last year needed new tires and converted to the 85 series Sailun S637 and am very happy with them. I would suggest, regardless of what tires you run, to get a TPMS system. We use the TST 507, but there are others. Maintaining proper pressure is critical with all tires.
