Steer axle 4600 drive axle 3300 total 7960.2011 raptor RBG 400 th loaded for trip including 120 gal water, rhino in back . steer axle 4720 drive axle 6160 trailer axle 13380 total 24260 .We moved from a class c to the th about a year ago. we already had the truck and the sales men said i could pull it no problem.and I can pulls fine and stops fine. I would think that would be an excellent idea, especially being 3380 over your Gross and most likely over on your rear axle. Sure it will pull it and stop it under ideal normal conditions, but what happens if you have to do a panic Stop?? Remember that Salesman was probably working on commision and needed to sell a unit so he probably would have told you a 1500 gasser would have been no problem. Do you family and everyone else a favor and start looking.

Yes, you do need to start looking for a new tow vehicle. Check out the new web based calculator called Before You Buy RV. It may come in handy.

I was going to ask why not a DRW with that size 5th but that is a very nice payload rating for a Diesel SRW truck. The numbers sure work out.

I'm still a huge proponant of DRW for stability though....

My main reason is that I have to use the truck every day . Second is that my DW and I are wanta be rock hounds so we might go 30 miles out in the desert and from my experience so far DRW trucks are not as good off road as SRW trucks and it is to wide .They are great for towing! We do have the rhino but we also have 4 boys so we do not get to use it much if at all.
