I think I might come out of retirement and become an RV salesman in Alberta. RV sales are up by a whopping 42% and almost 20% of Albertans now own an RV. Keystones perhaps?
RV sales are not only up but the price of RV's is a third less than 1 year ago and the RV's that are being sold are bigger and more expensive. However, I would guess that it is still cheaper to buy an RV in the U.S.
One of the major reasons for this news is that their provincial economy is very "robust" and even out-performing our Canadian economy which is also doing very well. Oil and the oil sands are the major drivers here and there are lots of buyers all over the globe.
So, for you folks out there who are looking to supplement your pension - Alberta RV dealerships are looking for people who have knowledge and experience in this area. Anyone on here interested?
