Sail Switch
Hey guys. I have a 2020 Keystone Passport 2900RL. My furnace fan kicks on but there is no ignition. I also do have propane in the tanks. I believe I have a bad sail switch. Can someone point me in the right direction on how to access the sail switch? I’m having trouble locating the switch.

The sail switch is inside the case where the fan is. Access will depend on brand.

It is a dometic. Would I gain access from the panel on the outside on my camper or the inside under my fridge?

If you have the large rectangular cover outside, you can get to the switch from outside. The switch will be on the left side inside the “wheel” housing.

Awesome. I will look here shortly and hopefully I will find it. Guessing I just take the cover off where the furnace is and like you said, on the left side it will be right there

Not “right there”, but you will see the two wires going to it right there.

Before tearing the furnace fan housing apart listen to the operation.
The fan comes on to clear any residual gas from the combustion chamber for about 15 seconds. If the sail switch is working next you will hear the sparkler trying to light the furnace.
If you hear the sparker you may have a gas issue, the sail switch is fine. You might have opened the valves too fast, and activated the safety feature of the valve.
Now if you don’t hear the sparker then likely may have an issue with the sail switch.

The fan kicks on but no tick. After about 15 seconds that fan kicks off and I have also listened outside to see if there is a tick but there is no tick
|

Looks like if I have to get into the wheel well, I have to take the whole cover off that covers the bottom of the camper. Is that the only way to access the sail switch?

There should be small Phillips head screws that hold the black case together. There is a ring on the open end that will fall out and it needs to be there when you put it back together.

NO.. you do not need to drop the coroplast covering on the bottom of the RV to try and gain access..
Since you have no outside access panel on the inside down on the floor behind a cabinet is where your access to furnace will be found
Also if you dont have the skill sets I would strongly recommend taking somewhere and let someone that does fix your furnace...
You need to remove the furnace away from the outside wall where its exhaust is at to see the sail switch,, this will require disconnecting propane line, ducting and 4 wires (Yellow,Red and two blue) to get to the front where all the components are
replacing sail switch is two screws and two wires but it sounds like you need some additional help to proceed
