Ok. Obviously I didn’t read “extended” so that warranty may, hopefully!, be a saving grace on this for you and them. Mine was a burnt off wire connection. Poor connection caused it to burn itself off the common post on the compressor. After applying a fix to that burnt wire, the unit ran just fine. I probably could have left well enough alone. However we bought a new unit from PPL and installed it myself. Now I have a slightly used 2020 unit boxed up in my garage waiting for a day where I can sell it or end up using it after all.

Well spoke with the owner today and was informed that the ac unit had started working again. So I’m not real sure what could have happened other maybe a wasp nest had got into something and caused an issue. Just a guess.
