I just ordered a unique stove for our next camping trip. It doesn't require charcoal or propane, and it's fueled with twigs, pine cones or sticks. It's called a Deadwood Stove, weighs 18 pounds and won't require much maintenance. I usually use a small Weber Smokey Joe but now I'm anxious to try this new stove. The Smokey Joe works fine for the DW and I so now we'll see which one will be used the most. The best part is that it's Made in the USA and will last longer than the warranty period.

Many run off the RV propane tanks. We are plumbed for it but I don't use it. I use the small bottles for the gas grill which last quite a while and carry 2 20lb. tanks for the Blackstone. If I didn't have a bad back I'd probably opt to use the grill on the RV tanks but I use the Blackstone too much and it is too big a pain to run the RV out of propane just to use it.

Thanks I will keep a 20lb for any grill I get . My little magma grill uses the little canisters and I go through them quickly

We use a NexGrill that connects to the trailer gas line quick-connect off a splitter for the outdoor kitchen stove. It is a two burner grill and we have a griddle plate attachment so it is a multi-function unit. On an average year of camping (45 nights +/-) we use 1 tank of gas (20 lbs.) for the outdoor stove, grill, fridge, water heater, and indoor stove/oven, plus the frypot burner and furnace on occasion. If we run through that one tank we have PLENTY of time before the second tank runs out so we are very comfortable with the grill running off the camper supply without toting around extra tanks.

I use an 11 pound tank, easy to throw in the truck and last a week with the BS.

I know OP asked about gas grills, but we actually have an electric grill: https://www.pamperedchef.com/shop/Gi...ble+Grill/2719

I tried one in outdoor kitchen - like Danny mentioned, it's either "burn" or "super burn".

We actually really like the P-Chef grill. Plus no propane costs. Obviously no good for boondocking... Might pull the el-cheapo out of camper and install a Blackstone for when I want to use it.

Been using this Smoke Hollow (now Masterbuilt?) grill/smoker for several months. So far, so good. 3 burners. It gets nice and hot and the smoker feature works well. A plus for me is it fits like a glove on the counter of my outdoor kitchen, which is great for travel.

https://www.outdoorgearlab.com/revie...letop-3-burner

I connect it to a 5 gallon tank which is nice and compact, yet offers plenty of run time.

Look around for pricing online - when I purchased, I actually found it for $120 OTD from one vendor.

I use the Smoke Hallow as well. Bought it when it first came out a few years ago and am very satisfied with it. With all three burners on it get's hot, will easily sear a steak. Using just the center burner it smokes with low heat. The wood chip box is easy to pull out and add chips or clean when done. I' really too large for the bumper mount grip arm so I just set it on a folding table and connect to the onboard gas line with a 6' LP hose extension.

We do have one if these, but its a bit harder to cook on outside in the winter. We moved to an electric fry pan with lid for colder weather cooking.

I like this idea, $140 at CW.

I bought everything on Amazon; the “Y” splitter, the hose and the grill fitting. The grill itself came from Home Depot $109.

I loved my little Weber Q. But didn’t use it often. Hubby has a CampChef that he really likes. Originally he had the larger sized one, but now has the Pro60x. The larger one was just too much to hoist in and out of the camper when we traveled.

Danny, i have done the Hamburgers on it also, Philly steak and chesses, peppers and onions and Italian sausage, Like you, breakfast is my go to on the grill, makes great pancakes, hash browns and corned beef hash..all non stick!!Damn, may be time to break it out again..

This set up worked on my RVs 30#(7gallon) bottles. I had the local lp distributor make a longer hose (20') so that a I could place the Weber grill anywhere I wanted.

OK you 3 Marylanders got me curious. Where is this Diner? We will be back in MD this spring (if your governor lets us in) and always looking for good crabcakes (since my Mom can't cook anymore, she always made the best in MD).

AS for answering the original purpose of this thread, I still have the Coleman Camp Stove that my Dad bought around 1960 (the white gas fuel type) and it still works.

Where in MD are you going or staying? The diner mentioned is east of Baltimore, about 5 miles east of I695 on RT 40 (Pulaski Highway.) @ Middle River Road. Hopefully by spring more indoor seating will be available.

Nexgrill from Costco. It's going on it's 6th season and still working great. We (gently) pressure wash the inside (take out the burners) ever year to keep it clean. The burners are still working great and for under $200, it's been a great buy. This grill fits our cast iron griddle perfectly (ummm... bacon...).

We bring a spare propane tank for it and we also use that tank for our fire pit. Although I would like to add a quick connect to the grill to use for trips when we are allowed camp fires.

Luckily my TT is plumbed with QD for supplying LP for a grill. Now just need to choose one and get it and a hose.

Thanks all for your input...………...
