Repairing DARCO?
What is the preferred method of repairing DARCO? I do not have any holes in it yet, but may have after making repairs to my soft spots in the floor. Just trying to plan ahead. TIA.

There is a product called scrim tape. It’s made for repairing the Draco, and looks like darco. It’s sticks like nobody’s business and stays put for years.

Just do not put it on a slide out bottom. I tried it and when I closed up it un-pealed and made a complete mess of things.

Another option is "bear-bond tape". NASCAR uses it. Sticks at 200 MPH.
Available at Amazon.

This is what the military calls 200mph tape I suspect. If making repairs to the underside of the Darco and it's on a slide I would be leery of Gorilla tape. Used it on the top of a slide (not Darco) and the edges will peel from the seals sliding over it. It doesn't hold well on the edges to me.

This what I used and it held up well over five years:

Purchased it at a local mobile home dealer.

I have used black Gorilla brand tape on my Darco stuff as there were cut outs some previous owner made (flaps really) and the stuff has held up for a number of years now quite nicely. I haven't used it on a slide.

Thanks everybody! I plan to add additional aluminum support to the existing floor at the soft spot, so will be drilling and screwing through the Darco into the existing 2x2 aluminum from side to side.
