Coleman griddle question
Hello friends,
Well, just a few days left in this teaching year, and I'm heading out for two months of summer camping, third year in a row!
So I bought a new Coleman aluminum griddle. Last year's model wasn't that great on the Coleman stove, it was one of those thin pan-style ones, but this time I got a thicker aluminum one, feels a lot more substantial.
Anyway, a question about seasoning: Coleman recommends wiping it with vegetable oil before first use, and every time thereafter. Should I cover it with veggie oil and then bake it in the oven, alone, at first? Or is simply wiping veggie oil on and then off again sufficient?
Thanks!
Kevin
