HI NICE TRUCK YOUR LOOKING AT! If you have some time go to the NADA web site. you can type in the "nada. National auto dealers assoc, they are more realistic as to what that ruck is worth. Kelly blue book is on the high side. but remember i am on the east coast and the price guides are adjusted by location so your results will be different!

How many miles on it? See if you can get an Oasis report from Ford. Look it over real close. We have had our 08 F350 for just over a year. no issues except the radiator leak, but the dealer fixed it. Oh yeah I get about 10mpg towing the Cougar, and I still have all the EPA crap on it. Hopefully it falls off soon! lol

I'd do cartwheels if mine came close to 10 towing, makes 8.5 on a good day. Short 70 trip this week in a quartering headwind it didnt even make 7. It has 3:55 gears and I thinking 3:73's would be better. Other than poor mileage we love the truck.

Talking

OK it has 78000 miles and is in great shape in and out. No 5th wheel but I will put one in. As for the EPA junk I am reading that most remove it and gain better mileage performance without it. They have also said a tune will make it perform even better. I know I will never get what I get in my car 30MPG but i want it for towing and noe less. I also understand I may need to place a supplemental tank in it for better range. Hooked to the trailer total length will be about 54 feet YIKES

For comparison, there is a 2011 F250 CC short bed Lariat package with 6.7L diesel 4WD set up for towing (but no fifth wheel hitch installed) at Gaylord Ford. Asking price is 40,000. It has 48,000 miles. As a comparison, the majority of the "creature features" found in the KR are in the Lariat, it has the "improved 6.7L vs 6.4L engine) and is 3 years newer. There's an "asking price" difference of $10K. http://www.gaylordfordlincoln.com/us...a92c47e924.htm

From what I saw of this truck when I was looking, it looked to be in "almost new" condition. Given its condition the price seems appropriate. If the one you're looking at has the "suggested" engine upgrades/modifications, is not one of those "prone" to living in the service department (OASIS will confirm this) and the condition is what you'd expect for the mileage, then it sounds like a good deal. Just be cautious of the "legends" surrounding the 6.0 and 6.4L diesels and do your homework !!!!!

Just for comparison... I paid $34,000 + TTL for my 2012 F-250 XL 6.7L Diesel Crew cab, 8 ft bed, 2WD with electric door lock, cruise, A/C, electric windows, CD/Radio, brake controller and heated towing mirrors....

If you're willing to forgo a heated and cooled butt and can live with being able to wash out the floorboard with a water hose you can drive a new truck for a lot less...

Based on comments made here and other sites. that is a good price for the F450 King ranch & is a step above the Lariet models. $30K for that truck sounds great here in NC. I would buy if my boss(wife) would let me.
MY diesel guy just told me last week that the 6.4 is a great motor and great drive train if you get the governement stuff out of the way. He has a 7.3 like mine and said this would be his next diesel engine truck. 6 speed tranny too.. Tow haul mode is great..
ONE thing check your insurance rates as the 450 moves you into a commerical truck rate insurance I think..even if you never tow anything but a camper.
JMHO
Jealous..

That doesnt sound like a horrible price depending on the actuall condition. Most of the ones Iv seen in that price range have more miles on them. That is one of my attainable dream trucks and after we build our house this yr that is next on the list.
