Yeah, pretty sure the hybrid is on the market. The "All Electric" is not.

Gee, I guess I should have specified. The 7.2 KW generator hybrid (THE ONE THE OP AND EVERY POST FOLLOWING HAS REFRENCED) is not yet available. Hope that clears it up for you.

I believe I mentioned the 3.5 ecoboost motor in my 2nd post. Maybe I didn't ask the question the right way. My understanding is the 3.5 ecoboost hybrid has the 7.2kW generator option. If I am mistaken I apologize.

I stand corrected. https://news.pickuptrucks.com/2020/0...generator.html I confused the EV with the hybrid. Guess I'm fired.

So I have a 21 f150 powerboost with the 7.2. I have not tried it on my camper as it hasn't arrived but I did power my buddies and it works great. I used a generator adapter and plugged directly into the 240 30 amp and I was able to power everything in the 30ft camper ( 1 AC) The amount of time the engine idles depends on what is running. You set the truck in generator mode, lock the doors and it acts like any other 7.2 generator except it isn't loud and doesn't have to run the engine constantly. I starts and stops automatically as needed to recharge the battery.

Thank you. I was hoping to hear from someone with real world experience.

I have been wondering about using it to power a travel trailer since I recently visited an old friend who had just bought the powerboost f150. It would be a great option however, I am having a difficult time justifying giving up my Raptor for a hybrid. maybe my tune will change if gas hits $6/gallon.

Nah, probably not. Sitting in the trailer with the A/C running watching that $6 a gallon gas power the truck to run the generator isn't any less painful than paying $6 a gallon to enjoy your Raptor LOL

My RV finally came in and I was able to do some testing with the F150 power onboard. I was busy setting up the RV and it was in the low 90's so I had the truck plugged into the camper running the TV, a few lights, compressor fridge and the AC. I had it plugged in for about 15 hours (spent the night in it) and by the next morning the fuel gauge in the truck had moved about 1/4 of a tank. The truck would run every 15-20 min for 2-3 min to recharge the battery.

So far I love being able to run everything even if I don't have hookups without having to run a noisy generator.
