Leaking Camlocks
I have the classic cylinder camlocks on 3 compartment doors of my coach. Each door has two cylinders, a camlock on one side and a cylinder "turning latch" on the other. I noticed yesterday that after a heavy rain storm, I had some water enter through the key hole of each lock and around the outer diameter turning latch. I took each lock off and added a rubber gasket to the outside and then applied some Geocell Proflex around each cylinder that penetrates the door.
After waiting 24 hours, I staged another "garden hose" storm with 45 degrees of downward aim. Still had some water drip through both centers of each camlock (the keyhole and the inside "turning latch"). There is no water entering around the outside diameter of any of the locks. There is also no damage to the doors (thank God).
A rubber floor I applied to the passthrough has helped prevent any flooring damage as the water just pools on top.
Just looking for a way to stop water seepage through the camlocks. Any suggestions outside of replacements (which I don't think will resolve it) or putting gorilla tape over the keyhole and around the "turning latch"?
