Question A/C not working with generator

My bedroom ac unit won't go on with generator, it does work when plugged in on shore power. The rear one goes on with no problem, checked circuit breaker at generator and in camper. What am I missing?

Does your generator have a 50amp output
?? You may be missing one leg of power.

Jim - we need to know what generator (stand alone) or if on-board - what generator and RV you have.
Sounds like you're looking in the right direction.

It's a 2015 Keystone Fuzion 371 with onboard generator 5500 watt Onan.i turn on generator turn on front a/c unit nothing, turn on rear a/c unit it comes right on. Shut off generator plug in land line it goes right on.it worked fine last month when I used it. Could the power transfer box be at fault?

That's an interesting one. As far as I know, the transfer switch changes the entire circuit (both legs) and I haven't heard of a transfer switch failure where only one leg switches over.

I think the 5500 Onan should have two circuit breakers at the generator. It sounds like you found both, correct? And we know it's not the downstream breakers from there as both ACs power up on shore power.

I have heard of one keystone instance where only one leg of the Onan was wired in.

Did it ever work right?
