Electric Tongue Jack recommendations

Recently got a 2016 274BHS Bullet Ultra Light. Want to replace the hand crank with an electric jack.

What I want:

• lights on jack
• manual override in case things go to pot.
• some overkill on capacity (585lb tongue weight, 5400lb empty trailer, probably 500lbs xtra contents).

Recommendations?

I picked up a used Atwood - 700# tone weight. It has a light and came with a backup hand crank. Its sooooo much easier plus I can now use the power of the jack with the ball locked it place to lift the truck bumper to ease installation of the weight distribution hitch. Then I lower the hitch and the weight distribution is nice and tight without braking my back and using that pipe to lift the bars.

A 3500lb electric jack should be enough. I just purchased the Husky 4500lb jack. The main reason was to get a remote. It's the only one with a remote that I could find. It will help with getting things level.

I just returned that one to Amazon (after less than a year). I think the dealer messed it up when I had the trailer in for warranty work. That was back in late June. In mid-August the thing would barely move the trailer and stop at certain times.

My trailer has a scale weight of 6,100 un-attached and 5,500 attached. Trailer purchased from Curtis Trailer, asked them what I should use for power jack, Atwood was recommended at 2,500Lb rating. Purchased 3/10/2014 and I installed. Unit is 80515 Deluxe Power Jack paid $250. Unit has light and handle if no power. Have had no problems and use jack to lift truck and trailer to set Spring Bars, light is LED.

I have the Jack Quick 3500 mentioned previously and have not had an issue in the year I have been using it. Moved it from my previous TT to this one. That said I have only heard good things about the Husky 4500.

Husky Brute 3000. Dealer installed the day I picked up my Bullet. Lifts the rear of my 6000lb Yukon XL with the tongue weight of the trailer with ease. I think Husky makes a solid tongue jack.

+1 for the Husky Brute. It has lights and manual override crank. I went with the 4500lbs unit, it is way over kill, but remember it is not just the tongue weigh, you are also lifting the back of your truck to remove the load for your load leveling system. The Husky Brute has been working great and effortlessly and is pretty quiet. I also went overkill figuring I would transfer it to the neck trailer down the road.

This will be my next one. Between the remote and a backup camera, hooking up alone would be a breeze.

X2 on the Husky with remote. I can back up using camera, get under the tongue, jack it up, pull forward until a little tension is on the ball and set parking break. Get out and throw the latch down and done! Also don't have to worry about standing in between TV and trailer while unhitching and the trailer moving when the ball breaks loose.

Well, I ordered a Husky Brute 4500lb (HT87247) unit early this morning. Price difference between the 3500 and 4500 just didn't amount to that much, and I tend to like "reasonable overkill" when I can.

Remote isn't a huge deal for me, so didn't opt for some more $$ to get that. Hopefully this puppy lasts a good long while. I've got what appears to be an Atwood on my older 2005 Outback, and it still functions, so hopefully...

I just installed my Husky 4500 today. I drilled holes to mount it to side. Now I can open my tailgate.

I used it on one trip. Great so far. The remote feature is definitely worth it. It saves me time when leveling.

I have a 2770RB i use a Barker 3500# jack made in USA ran about $385 has a light and manual crank in case you lose power had it for 4 years on it's 2nd trailer now.

I have a Husky 4500 on my Passport 245RB, I know it's overkill but it was given to me as a Christmas gift. I used it twice after installing it in the spring and on the second trip I destroyed it. We were camping in Door County Wisconsin and in my haste to get out of the cold rain as we were leaving I forgot to raise the strut after hitching up to my truck. I felt a huge drag that I thought was a sticking brake as we were pulling out of the campsite, but when I seen the small trench that it dug into the ground I felt that hollow feeling in my gut that I screwed up. To make a long story short I cut the strut off with a sawzall to get it home. I contacted customer service to purchase new parts, and after explaining this was only the 2nd time I used it after installing it the girl said no problem, we'll replace the entire jack. Customer service truly outdone themselves in my eyes. The jack is great and so it the company that stands behind it.

Purchased a Big Horn 3500# from Amazon. Works great and has all of the features of the other more expensive jacks. Also is less money. 2 year warranty.
