2016 30rli

Hello, I am looking at purchasing a 2016 30RLI. I was.wondering if anyone has installed a slide-out topper over the living room slide. I was told it would need to be shorter due to awning. Any suggestions and/or photos .

Thank you all in advance

I just looked at my 2015 30RLi and it will be tight. Check the exact installed dimensions on the topper you want to install.

Should you make the leap, welcome the the exclusive club of 30RLi owners, there are only 2 of us on the forum that I know of. Not sure why since it's a great floor plan.

Thanks Frank so far I may take the leap. The dealership said they can add a smaller one which would fit but looking for suggestions.

What do you tow yours with? You are correct awesome floor plan.

Check out Carefree of Colorado's Ascent awning topper. It's designed for this kind of application. I'm looking at these for my camper.

I tow with a 2015 F250 6.7L CC 4x4.

Curious why you want a slide topper for the living room. None on mine and not sure what benefit they would be. DD has them on her SOB bunkhouse and it seems to me to be just another/different maintenance activity.

I have a 2004 f250CC with the 5.4 and airbags, one of my concerns was towing it .

Anyway, I like to toppers to keep stuff and rain off the slide outs . I have one on my 2015 Cougar and it is serving me well. I Camp in wooded areas and when I close it now I see all the pine needles, sticks etc fall off instead of getting pushed inside.

Got it. I carry a ladder for checking/cleaning the slide tops.

Your truck will have enough bulk to master the 30rli. I previously towed it with a tundra and while the 5.7 was sufficient to pull it there just wasn't enough mass to the truck to tow comfortably.

Welcome to the 30RLI club, now there are three of us.

We currently have 7,454 miles on our 2015 30RLI with no problems.

The wife and I really like the floorplan like you do. We added a sliding drawer above the furnace intake and three sliding drawers beneath the sink so now the wife is really happy. My add on is a MorRye hand crank wheel screwed in the small storage compartment - makes handling the 50amp cord so much easier.

Safe travels ..... Don
