5th wheel dolly

My property has a driveway in back leading to an alley. The previous homeowners had a motorhome and parked it in the rear. When we were looking for our 5th wheel, I wanted something I could back into the drive from the alley. Backing the rig into the drive I have scratched the truck front bumper on the opposite fence, torn the roof on the low hanging tree limbs(thought I trimmed them high enough) TWICE. Scratched the side of the 5er. Needless to say the DW was beside herself and said either sell the trailer or figure out another way to get it back there and keep her nerves in check!!
Found a dolly maker in San Clemente Ca that made dollys for 5th wheels and trailers and has a video moving a Cougar almost like mine.

I called the owner, told him what I have and he said no problem, bring $$$ and the trailer as he would weld the receiver to the front for me. My 5er has an Onan in the front bay and I needed to move the exhaust before attaching the receiver. Anyway I opted to attach it myself when I was ready.
When all was said and done and welded up, I found that I could now park the trailer in the alley, drop it on the dolly and move it BY MYSELF without hitting anything. Well worth the investment.

Very clever! With my backing skill, I could use one of those to get into some of the "no pull-thru sites" campgrounds that we've been to.
