In my opinion all fans are loud on highest speed. The airflow on my MaxxFan very good on #4 and the sound is not bad. Having ten speeds you can find one that suits your needs and your ears.

I had one on my old trailer and put one in my present Cougar.

I installed mine in the living room .... I can run on high at night and pull air in through bedroom windows. Gives nice breeze and can't hear fan in bedroom.

Had mine installed today in the bedroom. Noise is comfortable at 70%. Above that might keep me awake at night.

It does have some sucking power!

Do you know if installed requires you to go "top side" or can you install the fan from inside the trailer?

You have to go topside and removed the vent currently located there.

Hi forum members.... need some advice on the best vent to put a maxx air turbo...

I have 3 vents... bedroom, bathroom or main living area

..... thinking either the bathroom (already wired for 12 volt and just replace existing fan or in the main living area... (would have to find a 12 volt source)

Is there any advantage to having it on the main area or the bathroom......... primarily using it to vent the hot air while travelling so when we setup in the campground we are trying to rid the rig of hot air for hours

If you are considering installing only one such fan, I would put it in the living room, bedroom and bathroom --- in that order. I realize that the bedroom area probably is the warmest since it is slightly higher than the main living area. We have two Fantastic Maxx fans -- one in the bedroom area and the 2nd in the living space. I put one on exhaust and the other on intake which creates a very nice flow of air ----- warm air going out and cooler air coming in. This "cooler" air depends, of course, on the outside temps.
The fans can exchange a large volume of air. Ours are thermostatically controlled which is a nice feature. No remote though ----- and I am not to that stage yet where everything has to be on a remote. The TV is just fine for us.
If you can afford putting in two, I would go for it. Money well spent.

Not knowing how much volume this unit moves..... still thinking the bathroom ... because it's already wired... do you think I will achieve the same effect in the bathroom? Am I going to be able to clear the living room area of hot air if its installed "upstairs" in the bathroom?

If you go to their website, I think you can find out the volume of air that these fans move or a statement something like "it can completely exchange the air in 2 minutes" . Looking at the layout of your 5th wheel, your bathroom is between the bedroom and living room area; however, there is a partition which looks like it comes across about 2/3 of the way between the two areas. My concern would be that this wall might act as a partial barrier between the two areas and restrict the circulation of air.
I think that if you utilized the existing 12v ceiling light wiring, you could easily tap into that and use it as a power source for your fan - if you were to put it in the living room area.
Hard to say if the fan were located in the bathroom area would it be able to clear any hot air from the living room area. I think it would be able to but it might take longer.
Again, that large partition wall would be a concern for me with just the one fan. But we also have a similar wall in our unit and there is a good flow of air between the two but as I mentioned earlier, we have the two fans running.

Does your bathroom have any fan at all? IMHO, a fan in the bathroom is a "must have" given smells and the steam from using the shower. If it is just a cheap fan, that's fine. Just have something in there.

Yes small standard fan in the bathroom.... dcecided on the living room..... found a 12v light nearby......
