Delamination three year old RV

Looking for RV body shop in the TriState area for needed side wall replacement. Pictured is our 2017 Keystone Impact VaporLite V26. Part of the sidewall blew off and metal skirting peeled back while driving in June. First indication of an issue a thumbnail size bulge at the peak of the trailer cap ten days prior.
Contacted Keystone RV Co. customer support, sent several letters and pictures of our delamination, roof seals and seams as requested. Contacted the dealer who responded could not look at or fix RV anytime soon due to Covid backlog. No Keystone authorized service in Delaware. No other Keystone authorized service within 100 miles had apt until at least 30 days. Called several independent RV body shops trying to get apt. for repair estimate.
NRVIA (National RV Inspection specialist) responded. Said “RV has been leaking for some time, possibly for as long as you have had it. No doubt that that will be an expensive repair and the only proper way to do it is to replace the entire wall.” “My guess is that to replace the entire sidewall and other necessary repair work might be pretty close to what the trailer is worth. “A sidewall is significantly more difficult and needs to be done at a shop, not in the field.” “I wish I could give you options, but this is a difficult situation and in the hands of the wrong person could be more of a nightmare for you”.
RV restoration Co. in Philadelphia, PA said RV had catastrophic water infiltration probably from the start, possibly a factory defect. Said repair would be cost prohibitive unless insurance was paying, and insurance declined claim.
Third service center in Greencastle PA said they could do the repair, but they are not Keystone affiliated and Keystone would not quote them or supply parts. Their quote of $18,000 was for a generic fiberglass panel 8 X10 patch not full wall.
Three weeks later I received this response to my letters and pictures from Keystone RV Co. customer support. (Cut and paste)
“Upon the product managers review and evaluating all the information and photos you furnished, we are unable to determine the cause of your concern. Therefore, this is not a warrantable Keystone claim. Furthermore, the warranty on your unit expired on 10/10/2017.”
We did maintain the RV in all aspects, roof and seams included. RV’s are built to be used in the outdoors are they not? We feel the life expectancy of a new RV should be greater than three years. We are also disappointed that our RV insurance did not help cover the damage.
I plan to do additional research and will post the actions I am taking regarding our RV. If you have similar concerns regarding RV manufacturing and quality issues, please follow this thread.

Wow. Sorry to hear of you problem with delamination. Can't offer any technical tips but youtube has quite a few videos on repair if you are handy, I guess. Based on your Keystone quote, doesn't sound like they will be stepping up. The delamination is caused by water infiltration and you can see water staining on the wood substrate. Keeping up with seam sealing seems like a good tip and when you get your camper fixed, you may want to be religious about keeping seams sealed. I think it is recommended on a fairly frequent basis. Good luck and let us know how your issue turns out.
