A New Adventure
Hello all,
Just bought a 2016 Bullet 24RKS and am learning a TON. Original plan was to have mom spend her time/live in it, when we moved her out here to NC from CA this summer, but now plans have changed and we decided to actually haul out there to go get her with it! Hope to have some fun along the way.
Bought a 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel to haul with. Been thru my share of hickups so far with the trailer/hitch combo, which has got my enthusiasm dampened somewhat, but still trying to stick to the revised plan.
I've hauled horse trailers across the country but I'm not super comfortable with the idea of this TT being 28.5', which is longer than most of what I've done before and I'm finding TTs are much more complicated as far as leveling, stabilizers, slides, weight distribution hitches, load balancing, tires, etc. etc.
I've also lived in a TT before, but NOT the right way. This time I don't want to make as many mistakes so I'm here for free advice, tips and tricks. I have a bunch of questions which I'll post in proper subject forums (I hope) and look forward to all of your notes, ideas and help.
It says to give some background so: I'm a Horse Trainer by trade but sold my business after 20 years and now do some work in the non-profit sector for a couple wildlife conservation groups. I love the herding dogs and have 1 Queensland Heeler and 1 Border Collie at the moment, plus 4 rescue feral kittens and 2 rescue rabbits.
Thanks for having me, looking forward to some great conversation!
