Chevy tpms range

I purchased Chevy tpms sensors for my 5th wheel (Cougar 368MBI) to use with my Chevy trailering app (2020 Silverado HD) and when I called the local tire shop they told me the range on these is only about 19 feet. It looks like the 2nd axle is close to 25 feet just to the pin, and another 10-12 feet from there to my head unit. Am I out of luck here or has anyone used the Chevy trailer tire sensors at this long if a range?
