will it tow it?
I am looking at a F150 with Eco boost 3.5 and 3.55 rear end with max tow package. I use my brothers F250 which is great. I wonder if I buy that truck will i be making a mistake? i don't have a lot of stuff to haul other what's in the truck just me and the wife. Wondering if I need to shoot for the F250 or will I be ok with the F150. Any thoughts would be welcome.

Shoot for the 250 for sure. That's a 37' 9875gvw trailer you're contemplating putting on the back of a 1/2 ton with a 3.55 rear axle.

I was wondering the Trailer weighs 9875 dry. Now of course its just me and the wife. What's got me hung on the F150 it boasts 12k towing with that current set up.

Dont use dry weight, that’s only valid when the trailer rolls off the assembly line. Even though your never going to load it to its max, that’s the weight you want to use....NEVER say Never!!!
GVWR weights are what law enforcement is going to use if you get stopped for any reason.

OK, the 9875 is gross, not dry (good news).
Figure 13% for tongue weight, that's 1284.
Subtract that from 1610, you get 326.
Subtract the weight of you and your wife, and you likely don't have much safety margin.
Typical payload for a 250 class truck (gas) is 3400. Big difference.
EDIT: The 12K towing is a crap number. The limitation you hit first isn't what you can PULL, it's what you can CARRY. Now, if your trailer had wheels at all four corners and "weighed" 0 on your truck, the 12K would mean something, but it doesn't.

Forget the advertised "tow weights", they are sales hype and will get you in trouble every time.
Your trailer says the gvw is 9875 as in my link. For tongue weight alone figure 13% of 9875 = 1285 approx. The definitive number is inside the driver door; yellow, black and white listing payload capacity - that is what you need. Forget the other "brochure" numbers. Post that number and we and see where we are...and then we get into the lack of a 1/2 tons ability to control heavy loads; btdt. Just dw and you, won't carry anything - don't believe it. Never happened for me and the bigger the trailer the more I seemed to carry - it always happens.

Just FYI, there's other brands the don't start with a F that are just as capable!

I have the same camper - it’s cousin basically Keystone Outback 330RL. I have seen an F150 pull it but I wouldn’t. I have a F350 6.7 diesel. Loaded up that camper is going to be close to 11,000 pounds.

The F-150 will move it ok, but you will be working the guts out of it. And then there is the lack of sufficient brakes. You would be relying heavily on the trailer brakes.

Spend the extra 800-1000 bucks and get an F350.
Dana rear end and heavy duty rest springs will net you 700lbs more payload and more lbs towing.
I have an F250 and should have sprung for the F350
The 2020 upped the payload big time over all the previous years.

Just curious if the gvwr is 9875 lbs and he loads it up to 11000 lbs ready to roll. What's going to happen to the tires being a little over a thousand pounds overloaded?

It will tow it but it won’t be a pleasant experience. A buddy of mine had a similar setup (same TV with 36’ toy hauler TT). He pulled it 180 miles home from the dealer and went in the next day to trade for a F250. The setup was unstable in a 25 mph crosswind even with a good WDH and sway control. The heavier truck solved that issue

Your buddy went from not enough truck to just barely enough, should've spent the few extra bucks & got the 350/3500.
