Shakedown cruise issue with furnace
While parked in driveway and running entire rv off 15 amp dogboned to 50 amp, everything worked smoothly. Now at campground plugged in to 30 amp service, the furnace will not fire up... here’s the catch, at some point in the night the two electric space heaters and tank heaters must have popped 30 amp breaker on power pole... the heater came on and ran on the battery. Restored power and now furnace won’t function again.
Any thoughts? 28 F in Cuba City WI

Running 2 space heaters on 30 amps won't work with the additional loads. To calculate what you can run use Ohm's law. Watts = voltage X amps and amp = watts/volts. So a 30 amp service will provide 3,600 watts (120 X 30 = 3,.600).
Space heaters typically draw around 1,500 watts, or 12.5 amps. Two of them and you are at 25 amps. Now figure in the converter charging the battery at 8 or 9 amps and you are over amperage without having the fridge or water heater on ac power.
You may have depleted the battery charge with the furnace running all night after the breaker tripped. f the dc voltage dropped to the point that the furnace wouldn't run any longer it may have "locked out".
Check the battery voltage first. If it's ok then turn the t'stat to off, then turn it back on and see if that will reset the furnace.

My thought is that it must be getting kind of chilly up in the northlands. Find a park with 50A service next time especially if you have to areas in the camper that are "must be heated". I am sure one of our more technical folks can help with the cabin heat but I suspect a fuse perhaps? I don't recall the heater having an AC breaker.

Batteries, batteries, batteries. Learn how to check them, they must be at proper levels of water and volts and all times. If not things will fail to work if using shore power or not.
Last 2 posts had great advice.

There's going to be a big difference between what you were running in the driveway on 15A and what you were running in the RV park - has to be. You can't run 2 space heaters, furnace and tank heaters on 15A...and therein lies your problem.
You blew the AC breaker because you had too much load; the furnace continued to run off battery power and depleted the battery(s); your furnace/thermostat depend on 12vdc to operate - it's dead so you have no furnace. I camped for several years in the winter with 30A and never popped the AC breaker BUT I knew my limitations and did not want what happened to you to happen to me. Furnace and lights - that was about it for DC voltage use. If it's cold enough to require the furnace, space heaters, tank heaters etc. I would be in a 50A place somewhere.

What went wrong
Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and suggestions on our furnace issue.
Got my 50 amp extension and was able to keep warm with electric heaters for the remainder of trip. Furnace still not coming on when when thermostat called for it. Then I started to notice furnace would sporadically start up... the pre-ignition fan ran, the burner would roar, and I would feel some heat coming from register. Then it stopped. Lasted 2 minutes. This repeated many times during the rest of our outing.
Dropped our brand new unit at dealer when we got home. Monday morning the tech was working on the furnace. Checked all the things commonly reference in the threads like Sail switch etc.. it continued its 2 minute drill.
FINAL FIX... on the 12v side of electrical panel is an automatic resetting circuit breaker (Dometic brand) that was failing. Replaced with Buss brand and all is good. Service manager said that he has seen this failure with Dometic breaker before and contacted Keystone about it. He plans to replace that breaker on all incoming units that have Dometic part as a precaution.

The furnace is 12 volts and gas. Has nothing to do with the shore power except the converter providing 12 volts for control circuit and charging the battery.
