Bedtime reading lights
Our 2014 Montana HC 318RE has a single LED reading light over the bed. Was interested in adding individual lights in the corners so DW can read while I sleep. Since the whole bed area slides it makes it difficult to wire.
Any thoughts?

Have you considered something like this?

My wife has used them before she got her Kindle and liked them. There are many different styles to choose from and much less expensive than adding lights.

What about a stick-on, battery operated LED light?

You could get her a Kindle (or another brand of digital reader). My DW loves to read in bed, with her Kindle, she downloads books for a nominal fee (or often for free) and the only light needed is the screen backlight. I can sleep next to her and never even hear the pages turn

Kindle it is!
OK, then read my 12-year old grandson's new ebook "Where is Caden James? At Home on the Farm!" on your Kindle. His next ebook will be "Where is Caden James? Gone Fishing". Try it, you'll like it; and you might want to get your grandkids interested in ePublishing.

Our trailer had a similar set up with 2 pancake lights under the bed overhead. When my wife tried to read at night just one light on was way to bright. My solution was to get 2 of the these type of lights.
I removed the pancake lights and put these in there place. As for your situation you could take 2 of these and add them to the underside of the overhead and just pull power from the light that is already there. That way you could use the one center light or either/both of the reading lights. It's a pretty easy fix. Hope this gives you an idea, good luck.

We had the same problem with another trailer and we simply got two small lights that you could aim at the reading material that mounted on each side of the bed and then used the stick on type of raceway to conceal the wiring from the central light to each small lights. It was a simple and easy solution.

Here is a link where you can get them from. Or you can just Google Gustafson Directional Reading Light and that will give a bunch of results where these can be purchased.
