2011 fuzion toyhauler

So question.. Does anyone know how the fuzion toyhauler frame is built? We had soft spots in our floor and it was very bad so we ripped it up and too our surprise there doesn’t seem to be much framing what’s so ever? Some spots have no welding, a spot in the aluminum is actually split and even where the tied down is there is now framing under it? I know this is now under the structure warranty but would this even have passed an inspection?

Is that the garage area or living area ? That is nothing like my 2015 311 impact fusion. Garage decking.

It’s a Fusion travel trailer or open floor plane . Was the wood floor in poor shape? I think I would have pulled the underbelly first then probably reinforced the aluminum from the bottom with angle iron up against the aluminum frame raising it with jacks . The floor floats on the tubing. My fusion the floor floats on angle iron trusses the full length of the fifth wheel toy hauler.

We thought about that but we didn’t want to have to remove the gas tank . The floor just was soft in one spot didn’t think it was going to be a big job. Until we saw the spacing between the floor joists. The floor was In great shape is was like throwing money out the window ripping up the whole floor.

You are aware that the floor is screwed into the I beam frame. That decking plays a big deal keeping the frame from spreading . I can’t tell if the wall is setting on tubing or butted . I Would remove the underbelly and fuel tank. I think the frame will need strengthen with steel angle iron or straps To replace the 1 inch plywood you removed perpendicular to the frame.

Yes we have a welder coming to do add aluminum supporting between each one. And he is also going to put a complete piece running side to side as there isn’t any support between the garage and kitchen. This is crazy!

Hi there Titan, welcome to the forum.

Sorry to see the troubles you are having with your Fusion.

Hopefully it all will be resolved soon.

Stay safe,

Gary

We are just going to add support between the 30” spread to stop the bounce and at the front by the kitchen there is no support at all so we are going to run another piece of steel along the beam at the front. I’m not sure what’s holding the kitchen appliances but we aren’t going to find out I guess. If we have to remove the underbelly we might but we are hoping to do it all from above. We have everything out from under the walls hopefully we can get it all back in. Unfortunately the plywood will not be one full piece. But anything got to be better than this!

Looking at the Aluminum floor joist the spacing looks like the joist rest onto of the trusses. I seen this frame failure this year Installing the condor for the motorcycle. The trusses are all covered by the underbelly That melts and burns fast. I used a large flat tray with water that killed any sparks .
