Hi,
We just had our 2021 Cougar 26RBS out for it's break in trip. One strange behavior I noted was that if I set the In Command HVAC control to auto mode the furnace would come on briefly then stop and a few moments later the AC would start up briefly then stop and the cycle would repeat indefinitely. I reviewed the In Command settings to see if I could set separate low point and high point temp settings to prevent this cycling but there is no such option.
I emailed tech support at ASA to ask about this. This is their response:
"There is a two degree split, so when the auto function is used in this mode it will continuously go through this cycle. Since the temperature split can not be adjusted, I can only recommend that you do not use the auto function."
Way to go ASA! Program an auto mode then tell owners not to use it.
Has anyone hacked the In Command system yet?
