Throne seat swap

Just curious if anyone has swapped their toilet seat for something they like more??

Ours broke one of the plastic screws that hold it to the bowl on our last trip. Didnt think to measure and the trailer is in storage now. Will a standard hardware store special have the same hole spacing to attach it to the bowl as a Dometic or am I stuck buying something Dometic/RV specific??

As always, I appreciate any thoughts.

You know, I don't actually know the answer to that question. I've replaced toilets and seats but don't recollect if I've ever put a "S&B" seat on one; but I bet they would work. My suggestion, when you replace it, is to get the "soft" close variety-they are SO nice compared to the others....and don't get plastic (IMO).

IIRC they are the same as a domestic round seat. I tried to do this to mine last year but, no pun intended, I have an almond throne and it was a white seat. My wife put an end to that right away.

:Thanks for the replies. I will probably just grab one, save the receipt, and give it a go. I will report back my findings.
I'm thinking if it works could be one of my best mods yet

Freeheel4life, Howdy;

Yes I have, just in the past year or 2 ...

2 things ya need to know,
Shape (Round or Oval)
Size Measure from the center-line line between the holes for the holding
screws and the outside lip of the Bowl. Google if you're not sure.

Then you can pick plastic or wood whatever else they may make them out of...

Because, you know, when you play the game of thrones, there can be only one winner.
