Electronic Thermostat

I replaced my Coleman Mach thermostat last week with a Honeywell Electronic thermostat. When the heat comes on, the a/c fan also runs. I am assuming that this should not be happening. I did not connect the blue wire as instructions say it is only used for heat pumps. The other four wires are connected as instructed. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

When using heat, put the thermostat on AUTO otherwise the A/C fan will come on.
