50 amp power cord storage

Hello all. We have a 2018 Raptor 426TS. I've been wanting to install a cord reel to hold the 50 amp power cord. I was thinking of getting the Moryde manual cord reel and installing it on the underside towards the back where the power receptacle is. Right now, we have it stored in a large bag that goes in the side compartment by the water connection center. Has anyone done this or any other mods that you've done for cord storage? Thanks !

If your cord has the plastic type sheathing on it when it's cold & stiff the power reel really struggles to roll it up. If your cord is the rubber type sheathing it will work much better. The reel also works better if you can fabricate some kind of enclosure to keep as much road grime out off it as possible.

If you get SOOW cable power cord reel becomes unnecessary. I have 40’ of 6/4 SOOW cable and it all fits in a 3 gallon bucket.

A power cord reel was one of our first upgrades after we bought the RV. Love it - no regrets. Ordered it online. Only disappointment is that it is fairly heavy, otherwise makes it quick and easy to clean and stow the power cord when breaking camp.
