Coax in newer Trailer (RG6?)

I've been thinking about switching my home television provider to Dish or Directv. Does anyone know what year Keystone started using RG6 in the walls? I don't really want to run coax.

My 2012 was "pre-wired" for satellite - with both a satellite and separate antenna/cable outlet in the utility compartment.

I never questioned the quality of the wiring - never looked for RG6 or RG59U or any other type of label either. I just hooked up and used it.

Has always worked with DirecTV - both SD and HD.

My 2012 Copper Canyon is the same, two separate coax to the main tv.

Mfifield01: if your trailer has a separate satellite connection then your golden. If not then I wouldn't count on the coax being RG6.

It's a single connection. I think it was listed as Cable/Sat, but can't find anything on it directly.

The coax sheath will be stamped with the type used. Probably easier to pull the booster plate off and look at that cable.

Yeah, I'll just pull the stereo out. I should've checked it when I had it out a few months ago.

It has RG6 running into the Winegard wall plate amp. I assume I'll just need to connect that directly to the receiver (bypassing the wall plate).

Turning off the booster should allow you to just run the coax from the plate out to the receiver in, Like you do when watching park cable.
