Tailgater mounts

Got a Tailgater and decided I wanted to mount it on something other than the tripod. One place was on the ladder and the other was on the pin box. Got them both made.

Tailgater on the roof

I mount mine on the roof, right by the ladder, and tie it down with bungie cords.

I made a short wire cage that my tailgater sits in. then I can strap the wire cage to anything like my picnic table, my ladder, any post etc. Gale force winds can't blow it over now.
I had to come up with something when I had it bungied to a table (four points- front and back) and the sucker blew off the table! It was blowing 45-50 mph but it didn't break!!!

The cage material came from 12X12 wire racks that you use to be able to get to make dorm cubes. I just bent them over to create four sides and a bottom that I zip tied together to fit the slightly round shape of the tailgater. the cage is low so it doesn't interfere with the internal dish.

Now the 12X12 racks are made of plastic! Good thing I kept all those wire panels for years. I knew I'd find a use for them.
