Winterizing help

Winterized my 27 RDS fiver last week. To get to the water heater by pass you have to remove a panel in the storage area. I figured out where the by pass valve was located behind the panel, cut a large square opening out of the panel, put the cut out square back in place with a couple of small hinges. Now I can open the "door", reach through, turn the by pass valve and complete the winterizing.

Re: Winterizing help

Sometimes the design and engineering is questionable isn't it.

Re: Winterizing help

Actually it makes sense if your a member of the design team. I see common design thinking across pretty much every brand. A drill gun with a Robertson #2 bit, is the most used tool in my arsenal.

Re: Winterizing help

In our Bullet, I removed the panel which is where the electrical cord is stored, then I enlarged the hole in a second panel to reach in and turn the bypass valve. I just left the panel off and use the space for a couple items while camping.
