Outside light

I want to change the bulb in our light that's mounted over the door on our fuzion 395. I think it's a clear 1156 bulb and is to brith plus attacks bugs. Considering a simple bulb change to an amber one or going LED. Has Anybody tried this already ? Pretty simple I know I just didn't want to change/try a bunch of different bulbs if someone else already has.

It's funny that you mention the bug thing as since I changed the door light to an LED the bugs seem to avoid it for some reason. Also I have the amber cover if that helps

Some bugs are attracted by heat and since LEDs make very little heat compared to incandescents you should get less bugs ... in theory anyway. I put an amber LED in mine but to tell you the truth we never use it so I really don't know if it helps reduce the bugs.

05hd350, Howdy;

The bulb in mine is a 1003 might want to check before you buy...

It just took a second to pry the amber cover off ours to check the bulb type prior to ordering my LEDs. We also find less bugs attracted to the light now.
Thanks to our 100% LED conversion, we've camped for 4 nights on 1/2 battery power, not being stingy about any use at all. GREAT mod well worth time and money.

Thanks everyone, I'll be sure to double check the bulb. Sounds like I'll be getting an LED
