Talking OCD Dog

Does anyone else have an OCD Dog. I'ved had a few dogs over the years, a white collie that lived 14 years, an Austrailian Shepard mix that lived 18 years and a Rottweiller that lived 16 years and a few hounds in between, but I've never had a indoor dog or one that is this weird.
If anything outside is moved, the wheel barrel, a clump of leaves, the neighbors sprinkler he'll bark at it until you show him it's okay. He eats strange things also. He would rather have an ice cube instead of a dog cookie, he hates ice cream because it makes him choke and he loves Gala Apples. I've never had a dog that eats apples.
He also will wake up from a dead sleep if the song, "Moves Like Jaggar" comes on. I haven't laughed this hard in years. Just wondering, anyone else have this type of strange animal in your RV?

Hello Rufus,

Our 102 lb male Yellow Lab likes to eat apples, popcorn, ice cubes and tomatoes. He steals the tomatoes from the garden (thinks they are balls). Given a chance, he will also steal your plastic bottle of water and use it as a chew toy. He is a great camping dog, seldom barks unless he sees another dog.

Every time we go camping with our Boston Terrier he can't sit still in the camper for the first few nights. He runs back and forth and drives me crazy. He's great besides that and waking me up as soon as it is daylight. Loves to go for walks and doesn't care if another dog barks at him.

Talking Me Too

Hey Jack & Marty
We need to get these two dogs together. Riley too uses a plastic water bottles for a chew toy but then trys to eat it. Never tried tomatoes, not sure what he'd do. He only barks when things are out of place. I did catch him playing in the trailer the other day where he was running back and forth then he would jump on the bed and grawl at himself in the mirrior. If nothing else he is a lot of enjoyment, I'm laughing all the time.

Hey Jim & Sharon,

Sitting here chuckling; visualizing Riley growling at himself in the mirror. Does he watch T.V. as well? Our Lab, Tater, will whine at the dogs he sees on T.V. Have to agree that dogs are a great source of entertainment.
If we ever get back to see the DW's Aunt & Uncle (Jekyll Island), maybe we can share a campfire.

Now, Now, Jim,

Your Riley met our Scruffy & Ginger - so you know they are ALL flakey a little bit!

Scruffy jumps up/down/up/down like a crazy little kangaroor everytime he sees us or his leash.........

Ginger likes to pull ALL the stuffing out of their beds - not just hers - theirs.....

Great traveling dogs though and ya gotta love that!

Talking Yes He Does

Yes Jack & Marty he watchs TV. He loves animal planet and barks at the other dogs. The commercial he loves is beggan strips, I keep waiting for him to say he has no thumbs. Yes please, if you get back here let us know and we'll do like wise if we get back to Monterey County like we were last year, DW's brother lives in Lompoc and I have family in LA and the Bay area. We are both native California's.
Yes Jody I have to agree, your pups are a little different too.

my dog likes to dance, now there is a difference between the dancing and the scooting and cleaning one's butt. It is almost the same but when she is dancing she goes in circles and to the beat of the music. My most intertaining is my cat that thinks he is a dog. (I didn't have a dog and missed them so I trained the cat to fetch and would say "good dog"), so when I call the dog both of them come

Talking That's Mean

That's mean AZLEE56. My folks raised 4 boys and when my Mom got mad and wanted all of us front and center she screamed "GEORGE"? None of us were named George and we didn't know any Georges so we knew we were in trouble when we heard that. I know how your cat feels! Poor Kitty!!!!! And I'm not a cat person but I still feel for it!

That is funny! I got so tired of 5 kids calling mom mom mom.....I told them I changed my name and it was GEORGE. I wouldn't answer unless they called it. Fits of laughter would happen. Boe-cat/dog kind of likes being a dog. My real dog won't lower herself to fetch!

Hmmm, gives me flashbacks of that one-hit wonder of the 1960s - "Walkin' My Cat Named Dog".
