Anybody added a second friction control?

My set up is a Reese WD hitch with the Reese friction bar on the right side. After 6k miles of towing I'm quite satisfied although I've had a few pushes here and there. If I were to add a second friction bar on the left side would that further prevent those pushes by wind & 18 wheelers. I'm not about to invest in a Hensley as I'm doing quite well as is, just wondering if the modest investment is an additional friction bar would be worth it. Also, with the new front cap on my TT, the dual cam won't work without battery box modification.

i am with you on this one. i don't really see the need to invest in a new hitch rig right now, and i have wondered this same issue too. i have seen guys use two, and they have said it made a difference in handleing, just gotta make sure you disconect them before trying to manuver in a campground. i am just going on here say.

I read that 1 friction bar is good upto 26' TT. Use 2 when longer.

I had one friction on my TT, adding the second one *DID* reduce sway, but it is not a 1+1=2. The second friction device added maybe 20% (from the drivers seat) to what the first one did.

We have a Sprinter Select 25RB, 28' weighs about 5,800 lbs and we have two friction anti-sway bars towed by an 03 F150 Supercrew. With the two anti-sway bars, the trailer tows very nicely. There is no noticeable sway when being passed by a transport. I think that you would be very pleased by your investment in a 2nd anti-sway bar.

If you really want to lose the sway, then go with the Hensley Arrow! Yes it is expensive, but believe me it is much better than friction anti-sway devices.
