Laughlin,Nv

Has any one ever camped in the Laughlin,Nv / Bullhead area? I am thinking it may be a good area to hang during the cold Canadian winter.

Any info on area would be appreciated.

AVI casino in Laughlin

Stayed at the AVI Indian Casino/KOA last October. No trees, gravel sites, full hook ups. Join their gamblers club and you can stay in the dry camp free for days. While the full hookups are nice, our experiences was less than as we were infested with ants while there for one night. Took us a week to get rid of those suckers!!! Needless to say we now spray anything that touches the ground with repellant...a good practice anyway.
Read the rv reviews and generally you cannot go wrong.

Eds, we checked that place out on a trip down there a week ago. ( I flew down ) I hope do not experience your personal experience. But here is what I found. Most camp grounds in the Bullhead?Laughlin area are permanent residence. Many spots in campgrounds......few left for travelers. And they looked trashy. The Avi presented itself well and where I have now book a 2 month stay. It is a KOA site.

Meet you there

Laughlin is one of those places like Reno. Know where you are staying based upon either a personal visit; or trusted referrals. Nevada is not Florida!! Just outside Laughlin it gets remote, FAST.

I have never camped there, but stayed at Harrah's many times. Not to scare you, but reinforce the need for knowledge, there are biker "clubs" that have a hate relationship in that part of the USA. Our trips were client related for those who liked motorcycling. We rented at Las Vegas H-D; did the Hoover Dam and spent the nights in Laughlin.

As with any unknown destination or layover, do your homework.

Safe travels. It is a very interesting part of America.

I am walking in fairly confident of my place and space.

Flodida ,I'll personally never visit... I have no interset and other opinions I'll keep to myself.

I am no biker by any stretch,if they show up, so what. Don't bother me and I won't bother you policy would play out.

Generally it takes alot to get me going. And the real bikers don't bother any body any way......it's the wanna be's that cause trouble.

We stayed at AVI two nights in mid OCT.
IT"S THE DESSERT so it's barren.
Great folks all around, fantastic grocery shopping across the river, AVI casino has a theater among other niceities. Seems if you want warm, bargain priced accommodations, safety, etc., AVI is a great place.
