Polar Package and Winterizing

We are traveling north and temperatures are going down into the 20s at night. my wife is convinced our polar package will handle these temperatures. We are not winterized. Unit is an Avalanche 313 RS Model Yeat 2020. Any advice on this forum?

You can use your tank heaters at night and fill your water, then disconnect the hose at night. you will be fine. be prepared to use a lot of propane. I think I burned 10 lbs. a day. Is Raymo your last name? I have never met anyone who I wasn't related to with that name.

We regularly camp in 20`F weather other than using more propane than at 50`F I use a https://www.amazon.com/Pirit-PWL-03-...24771532&psc=1

Thanks for the reply. Raymo is a nickname, short for Raymond. So to clarify your response are you saying to fill my onboard water tank and disconnect the hose water feed?

Yep.. but only while it is actually freezing.. if it gets back above freezing during the day you can hook up the hose again.. or you can use the heated hose I use..

Well, I guess he could be towing at night when the temperature would dip to 20`

I just figured he would tow during the day and camp at night..

Don't plan to use it in "Polar" like conditions without lots of propane & possibly other heat sources.
That package, along with the other sales gimmick names, typically means there's Coroplast (plastic cardboard) covering underneath with a layer of Reflectix (shiny bubble wrap) above that with a small furnace duct into that area, if by chance you have tank heaters you have the one step up.

We have one too. Do you just plug it in at the box or to a outside 120 on the 5er?

Generally I plug it in at the pedestal and if there is no 110 plug I will use a dog bone 30amp to 110 or worse case an extension cord from the trailer
