Alternatives to air mattress

Just have a question. We have a 2013 Keystone Sprinter 297RET. The couches both flip down to make beds, however, I was wondering what others may use instead of the air mattress to go up there. We have used some foam pads for between the couch and the air mattress but the mattress keeps getting holes in them.

I have been thinking of using like a 4" foam mattress but don't really know where to stow them when they aren't being used for the bed.
