2010 raptor toy hauler

I have a raptor toy hauler.I was checking out the ramp and it looks pretty steep.I have a 2004 ultra classic Harley bagger and was wondering if I have any sound options of mounting a winch or something in the floor that would hold the weight of the bike. Thanks

If I recall this was a new to you Raptor, I would highly suggest doing a search on the forum for say ramp, etc. There were issues on ramp seams splitting, think there where also techniques members were using to enter the TH

I have a 2017 Raptor and had the same concern. I bought a 2,500 pound electric winch at Harbor Freight (overkill, but it was the one they had on sale ). Then I took the winch to a metal fabricator and he made me a plate for the winch that allows me to tie it down to one of the floor tie downs in the front of the garage using a ubolt.

I have been riding the Harley up and down the ramp for three years and not much for problem. Mainly you don't want to have the front of the trailer exceptionally low. I'm also a little curious why a winch in the garage is easier than riding it into the trailer. And at that point maybe tell me about how you winch it out of there. We see bikers riding their big bikes into toy haulers all over the country and I've never seen anyone winch their bike in or out. I do take the fishtail tips off when loading and unloading because it is a little steep, but that's the only problem I've had.

I use the winch only because I am loading a Can-Am Spyder and an Indian Scout and it is a tight enough fit that I am not comfortable riding the Scout in at speed after putting the Spyder in. I don't use the winch putting the Spyder in. I've also ridden the Scout in with no problems by itself. I just won't chance it when putting both in the garage. As for taking it out, I don't use the winch to unload, but could.

I can certainly see using the winch when loading those two. The Can Am is a fairly wide beast and no matter what, the RV seems to never be wide enough.
